Though the hair growth is a natural phenomenon, many external & internal body stimuli can affect it profoundly. So the process of growing hair can be altered with slight modification in lifestyle and eating habits.
Usually hair grows upto half to one inch in length every month. Its growth depends upon your eating habits, sleep, general health, mental stability and many external factor like environmental pollution. If you eat healthy & live healthy, your hair will grow healthy and will look luscious.
Healthy diet which is rich in proteins, minerals, vitamins and anti-oxidant promotes hair growth. Along with healthy diet other factors like exercise, giving up smoking & drinking habits also helps.
Here are few home remedies that can help you to grow hair faster and naturally.
1. Get a Healthy Meal
Growing hair is like growing a tree. As tree needs proper nourishment and care, our hairs also demands same from us to grow healthy. Choose the diet that is rich in vitamins, proteins, minerals and anti-oxident. Include fresh fruits, salad and green vegetables in diet. Many micro-nutrient like selenium, zinc, & magnesium also plays major role in hair growth.
To complete these requirement, one has to get variety of food items. Include fruits, whole grains, rice, green leafy vegetables, milk, yogurt, garlics, broccolli, fish, chicken etc in diet. Drink plenty of water and have a glass of fresh fruit juice 3 to 4 times a week. Keep your body well hydrated because it will also help you to get rid of body odors.
Omega-3 fatty acids plays role in hair growth so do not forget to add food products that are rich in fatty-acids.
2. Increase Castor Oil Uses
Castor oil is known to have omega-9 fatty acids, Vitamin E as well as other important and essential fatty acids that promotes rapid hair growth.
Before you start using castor oil; make sure to mix it with almond, olive or coconut oil. This mixture will dilute viscocity of castor oil. Apply this oil mixture to scalp and massage slowly. Leave it for half hour and shampoo your hair to clean it properly.
One can also add other oils like eucalyptus, rosemary and thyme oil to castor oil to make different mixture. Test different combinations and keep using any one of them which bring better results.
3. Massage Your Scalp
Massaging scalp on regular basis yields best results. Massaging over the scalp increases blood flow through scalp vessels and helps to stimulate the growth of hair follicles. With massaging, do not forget to condition your hairs with the help of hot oil. Condition your hair minimum once in every 15 days or once in a month.
Get warm hair oil and apply it to your hairs as well as to scalp and gently massage your scalp.Use circular motion of fingers while massaging your scalp to get best results.
Once you finish this procedure, wait for few minutes then wash your hairs.
4. Use Reverse Hair Flip (Upside Down)
Old but popular method which is practised widely across the globe and known to promote hair growth. It’s is simple to practise and gives best results if followed religiously. Bend yourself forward so that your hair will get flipped upside down, then wait for few minutes in same position & relax. Exact scientific cause that promote hair growth behind this practice is not clear but it is said that this action promotes blood circulation.
5. Live Life Strees Free
Our life is full of stress which is a primary cause of grey hairs and sever hair fall. Stress triggers many hormones and emotional outbreaks which further leads to bad health of hairs and immunity system Stress also known to push hairs in telogen phase which causes fall-out of hairs.
So it is imortant to live stress free life to be healthy and prevent hair loss. Do not worry about the things that you can not able to change. Hangout with freinds and family, do meditation and watch comedy movies once a month. Take some break from your work and go for tracking or camping. Get sleep for minimum 8 hours every day. Exercise for 30 minutes everyday.
6. Apply An Egg Mask
Apply whip up an egg mask to the root of hairs and scalp to promote hair growth.
Eggs are rich source of proteins and can help to grow hair faster, when taken internally as well as applied externally to scalp. It can also provides selenium, zinc, sulfur, essential amino acids and iron. Applying an egg hair mask minimum once a month is sufficient to trigger healthy hair growth. Follow the following steps to make a home made egg hair mask.
Stir an egg, mix two to three drops of lavender oil as well as 4 tablespoons of grape seed oil. Apply this mixture of egg and oils to your scalp and wait for few minutes then wash your hairs.
Get two eggs and mix it with 3 tabelspoon of extra virgin olive oil, stir well and apply this mixture to root of hairs and scalp. Wait for half and hour then rinse your hair with shampoo and clean water.
One can also make a mixture of an egg with a cup of milk, one tablespoon lemone juice and 2 tabelespoon extra virgin olive oil. Stir this mixture well & apply it to your scalp. Wait for 30 minutes then wash it out with clean water and shampoo.
7. Use Aloe Vera
Aloe vera is know to promote healthy hair growth as well as reduce unnecessary hair fall. It promotes healthy hairs by minimizing dandruff.
Get an aloe vera gel from market and mix it with 1 tsp of lemon juice then apply this mixture to scalp & wait for 20 minutes. Then shampoo your hair with warm and clean water. Repeat this procedure after every five to six days for better results.
Mix 3 tsp of wheat germ oil, half cup of coconut milk and aloe vera gel and aplly this mixture to scalp for 15 minutes then wash your hairs.
8. Use Natural Herbs
Natural herbs like sage, burdock, rosemerry, green tea and carnip are also helpful for healthy hair. Rodemery is know to promote hiar growth by stimulating hair folicles.
Green tea is a rich source of polyphenols & have multiple anti-inflammatory properies that reduces inflammation of hair folicle if you have any and promote hair growth. Most of the herbs help to improve blood circulation as well as immunity and trigger helathy and fst hair growth.
One can use leaves of these herbs and add them to hot water that used for bath. Or can boil few cups of water, then add these leaves to this water and use this herb infusion to rinse your hair.
9. Take Multi-Vitamins
Sometime it is beneficial to take pills of multi-vitamins. In many cases vitamin deficiency is a prime cause of hair loss.
Vitamins like Biotin, folic acid, B-complex triggers healthy hair growth. Many vitamins also works as anti-oxidant in body reducing further damage to skin as well as hairs. Consult your family physician for proper regimen of multi-vitamins.
10. Keep Eye On Medical Problems
Many time home remedies, healthy diet and exercise will not able to give a boost in healthy hair growth because of underlying disease condition that prevents hair growth.
So it is always better to consult your doctor to look for any possible disease that may reduce growth of hairs. Your physician will help you to identify any disease that leads to hair fall or stops healthy hair growth and will treat accordingly.
Seborrheic dermatitis, infections of scalp, dandruff reduces hair growth significantly and needs urgent medical attention.
In addition to above mentioned tips, it is mandatory to see if any of them can cause an allergic reaction to you or not. If you found some home remedies are not suitable to your health then simpaly avoid them.
